News Update

Another week has passed on the shore of Lake Wascana. The weather has turned decidedly nice with sunshine and melting snow. We hope that winter may have been confined to that one cold week! Wendy's dad continues to be in the hospital waiting for a new surgical date, since the earlier one was cancelled. We are also concerned over the schedule because we do have to go home at some point! We were surprised to find my cousin and her daughter in the same hospital. It was good to catch up with them, and we pray for continued healing for Danielle. I am still coughing, although I've worked my way through a whole bottle of Buckley's, so I'm heading back to my Benylin. The markets have not been favourable this week, and I lost some of what I had gained earlier. We enjoyed an evening at our friends' house for supper one evening, otherwise, I have continued to be chief cook, and none of us are starving. Today we attended a meeting of the society of our old school, Western, and grieved along with others as the society voted to dissolve the school at the end of this school year.

Eric/A and the boys have continued the struggle with water supply to the suite. They have had to repair the line.

Erin and Kristian have been taking care of things at home. They had it busy last weekend as Andrew and Mini were staying over. Kristian had a hearing check this week, and we're glad there has been no deterioration on that front. However, reports from school indicate that he doesn't always listen, or heed! He did have a good day on Thursday, so maybe we're on the upswing once again.

Trav and his team won the championship in Minnesota last Sunday. That was a great achievement for them. Joanna was along and provided lots of photos of the occasion.

And that's about it for this week.
