Blogging—what's the difference?

Although I am writing the first entry of this venture, it may be true that I was blogging before there was blogging. I have been writing and posting about events from my life for quite a few years—at my age, I can't remember how many! I have been sharing my thoughts and opinions freely for even longer (and too freely for some folks comfort!). So perhaps this is a natural next step in my writing endeavours. It frees my usual contacts from my weekly blurbs, and allows those who wish to to still keep track of a little of what's going on in the life of my family.
