Another week has passed on the shore of Lake Superior in my hometown. The temperatures continue to drift lower with several nights below zero, and some days failing to reach double digits. Wendy and I struggled to get the cover on the RV, but it’s now winterized, the batteries have been moved to the basement, the tires protected from the sun, and it’s stashed for the winter. We enjoyed our usual choir times, and Wendy had a sing out at a Seniors Complex on Wednesday evening. We get out for walks with Kali every day, but that is a bit more complicated as we all need our jackets on. The markets collapsed on Thursday and Friday but I still had a good week and a great month. The Orange turmoil remains in the Middle East, and Oil has surged above $100, so we’re getting hammered at the pumps— we’ve gone from 99 cents to $1.69 over the course of the War. Weather was great today, and we had a number of visitors for treats this evening. Big time in sports this week with the completion of the World Series—congrats Brewers! And, it's the start of football playoffs. Riders played the western semi-final in Vancouver this evening, but they ended too many drives with FGs instead of TDs, so they lost 33-26. Their season is over. BC will travel to Edmonton for the Western Final, while Bombers play in Montreal in the Eastern Final. My Oilers are doing very well in the early NHL season. They won again today, and sit atop their conference. Pens and Leafs are not doing as well!

Travis and Joanna's report seems to write itself recently. They are keeping busy, so we don't see them as much as we'd like. At least Trav and I get to enjoy hockey games together via text. Andrew and Rosie made a trip out to the mountains around Banff—quite a trip from here.
And that's enough for this week!
